On 24 February, Progressio held its quarterly recruitment drive for cycle 15, which is starting in the beginning of April. There was a great deal of tension and nervousness in the air at first as the 22 hopeful applicants congregated together at the venue, but Bryan's icebreakers and team-building activities quickly eased them into things and built their self-confidence.

Darwin and Ramón, two of the wonderful and hard-working Nicaraguan volunteers from this cycle, recounted their experiences with Progressio and ASOMUPRO's work so far, which seemed to further spur the applicants' interest in the programme.

Only a few of the applicants will be lucky enough to be accepted onto the programme. However, the rest of them will have left the recruitment day with an increased awareness of Progressio and its programmes across the world, a better understanding of international development, a strengthened confidence in themselves, and hopefully, an increased eagerness to contribute to positive development – be it with Progressio or with another organisation.
