Sharon Dagg has recently been appointed as the new Director of Progressio Ireland.

She replaces former director Judith Turbyne, who left Progressio Ireland in September 2013 following 3 action-packed years with Progressio's sister charity.

Sharon has a background in Business Development in the Irish & French commercial sectors. In 2008, Sharon decided to use her skills within the not for profit sector, and before joining Progressio Ireland she headed up an Irish International Adoption Organisation.

At her appointment Sharon said:

“I am excited to join Progressio Ireland and build on the strong foundations laid down by Judith. I really believe in the Development Worker Model which Progressio has been using for over 40 years now. This skill sharing and partnership approach is in my opinion the key to sustainable change.”

Sharon lives in her home town, Dublin, and is the mother of two teenage kids. She is passionate about cycling and recently completed a 700km charity cycle from Paris to Nice.

Mark Lister, CEO of Progressio in the UK welcomed Sharon warmly saying:

“The whole Progressio family is delighted to have Sharon heading up Progressio Ireland and is looking forward to a fruitful and exciting new era. Welcome on board, Sharon!"
