Poverty isn’t just about a lack of resources. It’s much more complicated than that. We think that people can only transform their lives when they can make important choices about their personal, economic, social or political future. To make this happen, we focus our work in three critical areas of poverty eradication:
Sustainable environment
We know that by addressing climate change, resource scarcity and environmental degradation, poor and marginalised people can improve their quality of life.
HIV and AIDS
People living with HIV have the right to receive adequate care and support, and to be less marginalised and stigmatised. We help people with HIV speak up for themselves and change other people’s attitudes.
Participation and effective governance
Poor and marginalised people need to have greater influence on decisions and policies which affect their lives in order to reduce their poverty
