Talk in your church

photograph of a Cathedral in El Salvador The two minute talk is a really easy way to share news of Progressio's great work.

If you'd like to speak to your church and hold a collection, all you'll need to do is ask permission first and spend a bit of time familiarising yourself with the talk. You might also want to put an item into the church bulletin, so we've put some text together for you to use:

"At church this week we'll be hearing about Progressio, a Catholic international development charity. They work by placing skilled people with poor communities. We're encouraged to get involved in their work by giving money and time. Please be as generous as you can."

On the day, ask people to fill in their details (download our sign-up sheet below) with their donation. You can also use our donation envelopes to collect donations.
