£22,611 gross pa (plus other benefits)

This is a great opportunity for an outgoing and dynamic individual, with an ability to engage with young adults. The post holder will be responsible for delivering post-placement training and supporting volunteers on their return to the UK from their overseas placements, including with their Action at Home.

The post holder should have skills in administration and logistics, and the ability to deliver training sessions and inspire young adults to take up action, and remain engaged with Progressio post-placement.

The successful candidate should have a degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

You should have proven experience in public speaking or presenting to and engaging with groups of young adults; supporting, motivating and enthusing volunteers; writing inspiring web content; using social media, and administrative experience in a fast paced environment. Experience of organising and prioritising a demanding workload, including working under pressure to achieve deadlines and adjusting workload in response to changing circumstances; dealing with enquiries from the general public (e.g. phone calls and correspondence) in a friendly manner; working in a supportive and enabling role and building working relationships with a culturally diverse workforce is also essential.

You should have solid office/administration skills, including a good overall knowledge of administrative systems, and attention to detail and accuracy; an ability to relate to young adults; excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and creativity, enthusiasm and the ability to inspire volunteers to take action on their return and stay committed to Progressio. Good problem solving skills and an openness to receiving feedback; an ability to use own initiative to deliver expected project outcomes to a high standard (on time and within budget); excellent written and spoken English, including the ability to write reports and other relevant documentation, and a willingness to undertake occasional UK travel and to work occasional evenings and weekends is also required.
