2016 is set to be another incredible year for Progressio. We've once again got ambitious plans and we continue to celebrate 75 years of putting human rights at the centre of development.

As we look to the new year, we wanted to take moment to reflect and remind you of some of the things we've achieved in 2015.

At the start of 2015 our campaigns officer Jenny wrote to all of our supporters about the importance of the year for international development. She said: "This year offers the chance to make some serious progress in changing the lives of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people. But our leaders need to know that you want them to step up."

And that's what you asked them to do.

From celebrating the passage of the International Development Bill, to the Commission on the Status of Women in March to the Climate Lobby in June to the Sustainable Development Goals conference in September, our supporters have spoken out continuously and shaped a better future.

But Progressio hasn't only focused on campaigning, we've also had the incredible Live Below the Line challenge, raising a fantastic £12,900 (not including gift aid!). We've overseen the beginning of several new programmes including one focused on HIV/AIDs and disability in Zimbabwe. Our policy work continues to build in strength as we sharpen our focus on gender equality. And all the while, we've seen an incredible 690 young people contribute to projects overseas through the International Citizen Service programme.

Whatever you've done this year - donated, ran a marathon, lived below the line or contacted a decision maker - thank you. Progressio could not continue its work without supporters like you, and we can't wait to see what working together in 2016 brings!

If you haven’t already, sign up to our mailing list today to receive regular news updates and calls to action from Progessio HQ, we can’t wait to have you on board!
