Progressio works in the following areas in Yemen:

Effective Governance and Participation

Capacity building Yemeni non-governmental organisations and civil society groups on an ongoing and long term basis with an emphasis on women's education and empowerment.
In order to build capacity, Progressio's development workers build the skills and knowledge of local NGO staff in: office procedures and practices, fundraising, administration, advocacy, financial management, communication, negotiation, democratic processes, gender and human rights.

Capacity building to address HIV and AIDS.
Developing interventions to address HIV and AIDS in Yemen working alongside governmental and non-governmental partners
Involving local faith leaders to support initiatives that raise awareness of HIV and AIDS and help in the fight against the disease.
