Progressio works in the following areas in Somaliland:

Effective Governance and Participation

• Our partnership with Amoud community-based university in Borama has expanded to include support in the development of library and information services.
• Support to primary-level health services in Hargeisa aims to facilitate community involvement in health services and a sustainable structure for the future.
• Building the capacity and effectiveness of local non-governmental organisations.

HIV and AIDS

• Our approach is to work with a variety of stakeholders to build capacity in awareness-raising and information provision.

Sustainable Environment

• In partnership with Amoud University, Progressio is undertaking a research study into the effectiveness of Vetiver, a species of grass that helps to decrease water run-off and combat soil erosion.
