Stop Climate Chaos – June 2009 action

Time is running out to reverse the growth in global carbon emissions. If we don’t take action now, in less than 10 years, global warming will almost certainly exceed the danger threshold of 2 degrees C – with devastating consequences for some of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable communities.

Progressio has joined the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition which is mobilising campaigners from over 80 UK organisations to demand that the UK government takes radical action to cut carbon emissions and show international leadership.

Now is the time to start putting the heat back onto the decision-makers, as they begin preparations for the crucial UN climate change negotiations in Copenhagen this December.

And don’t forget to mark 5 December 2009 on your calendar – and join us at the largest ever UK climate change march in London on that day, to demand a fair deal for the world’s poor at the climate talks in Copenhagen.
