Somaliland Focus wishes to express our deepest sympathies to the families of those who were killed in today's bomb blasts in the Somaliland capital, Hargeisa, and in the Puntland commercial centre of Bossaso.

In stark contrast to its neighbour Somalia, Somaliland has become an oasis of peace, stability and progress and a haven for thousands of Somalis fleeing from their war-torn country.

We sadly announce the death of Saeed Meygag Samater, Founder and President of SOPRI. Saeed died at the Hospital this afternoon with his family and friends at his bed side.
